15 cm of snowfall is blowing its way into Calgary this week

You might want to step outside and enjoy that sunshine while you still can.

While Calgary may be sitting at a sunny and warm 20Ā°C as of Monday afternoon, it’s only downhill from here as far as the weather is concerned.

The Weather Network’s most recent seven-day forecast shows two very different seasons playing out over the coming week, with the start of the week feeling a lot like summer and the end hitting a little closer to the dead of winter.

Tuesday will follow Monday’s lead with a high of 18Ā°C though featuring cloudy skies, while Wednesday and Thursday will bring with them highs of 14Ā°C and 10Ā°C, respectively.

Throw in mainly sunny skies for Wednesday and just a chance of rain on Thursday and it really isn’t all that bad of a week, right?

Well, then Friday arrives.

The first day of the weekend will see a mix of sun and clouds and a high of just -2Ā°C that feels a little closer to -5Ā°C.

The snows start to show up on Saturday, with around 10 cm falling on a -7Ā°C day, while Sunday follows up with an even colder -9Ā°C high (feeling like -18Ā°C) and another 5 cm of snowfall.

Given that this is Calgary, there really is no knowing of what the rest of the month holds, weather-wise — so we’d suggest making the most of these relatively warm days while you still can!
