So long, blue skies of summer.
The smoke from the American West Coast wildfires has finally drifted its way into Calgary, covering the city and turning the summer sun an eerie red.

Environment Canada’s Air Quality Health Index currently sits at a three, though it is expected to jump to five by Saturday.
The Weather Network is forecasting some clear skies by Saturday night and all throughout Sunday, though, so there is some relief on the horizon.
Many Calgarians took the opportunity to capture Calgary in all its smoky glory, dull red sun and all, and post the proof to social media.
