Calgary restaurants can resume dine-in service on May 25

May 25 2020, 6:02 pm

On Friday Premier Jason Kenney provided an update on Stage 1 of Alberta’s Relaunch Strategy for both Calgary and Brooks.

Kenney announced that starting Monday, May 25, restaurants, cafes, pubs, and bars will be permitted to reopen for dine-in table service, as long as they are limiting capacity to 50% and following health and safety guidelines with enhanced protocols.

The province has outlined several risk mitigation recommendations and guidelines to ensure food and beverage businesses reopen safely.

This announcement comes after the province had to announce a delay in some aspects of reopening Calgary and Brooks in order to give public health experts more time to monitor trends.
