Calgary Reads and CBC are hosting their 14th annual big book sale Friday, May 13 to Sunday, May 15.
The book sale supports literacy programs throughout Calgary and last year over 8,000 people attended the weekend event.
For those still wanting to donate books they can be dropped off at the Calgary Curling Club until May 8. Donations of good quality, gently used adult and children’s books are welcome. Items that won’t be accepted are: encyclopaedias, dictionaries, text books, Harlequin Romance, Reader’s Digest, cassettes, magazines or agendas.
On Saturday, May 14 enjoy Jazz & Book Night. From 6 to 9 p.m shop to the musical sounds of Midnight Blue Jazz Society with a cash wine bar throughout the event.
