Calgary's PARKSHOW fashion show raises money for the arts

Dec 19 2017, 11:30 am

A fashion and art showcase is set to hit Calgary this Friday and Saturday that aims to provide a platform for the city’s local artists.

Many of the artists showcasing their work at PARKSHOW are creative entrepreneurs looking to gain exposure and share their talents with Calgary’s creative industry. This event will allow them to expand or create a client-base that will allow them to create while sustaining themselves.

Friday’s program includes work from Vandal Goods, Kate Hewko, Lennard Taylor, Seed Yoga, Honubelle, Madame Wolf, Suka, and Bano eeMee. On Saturday you will be able to see work from Cara Cheung, House of Nonie, Anneke Forbes, Rebecca King, Malika Couture, S.P. Badu, and Anne B Accessories. PARK Pop-up Shops will be available throughout the two days for you to snag pieces you love.

All of the proceeds made will go towards PARKSALE, a non-profit annual outdoor market that allows artists to display and sell their work for free. All expenses are paid for by the organization leading both PARKSHOW and PARKSALE, called PARK – Promoting Artists, Redefining Kulture.

Tickets start at $60 and are available at ourparkonline.com.
