Here's what's open and closed on Remembrance Day in Calgary

Remembrance Day is coming up on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025. It is a day that honours those who lost their lives protecting our country. Some services may be closed or have adjusted hours in Calgary on Remembrance Day.

Here are some services that will have adjusted hours on Nov. 11.

Calgary Public Library

All branches of the Calgary Public Library will be closed on Remembrance Day.

Leisure Centres

Calgary leisure centres such as Village Square Leisure Centre and Renfrew Aquatic & Recreation Centre will have adjusted hours on Tuesday, Nov. 11.

Canada Post

Canada Post will be closed on Remembrance Day. There will be no collection or delivery of mail.

Transit

The City of Calgary will operate buses, CTrains and On Demand on a Saturday level of service on Nov. 11. All veterans and accompanying family members will be able to ride transit at no cost.

Malls

Malls like Chinook Centre, Market Mall, and Southcentre Mall will be operating on their holiday hours on Remembrance Day, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
