Something about 2015 got Calgary in a romantic mood, according to new rankings by online retailer Amazon.
Calgary has been named the sixth most romantic city in Canada by Amazon, jumping up seven spots from last year’s thirteenth place finish.
Amazon’s yearly ranking is based on collating products purchased per capita, including items from categories such as romance and relationship books, romantic comedy DVDs, sexual wellness products, jewelry, and romantic CDs.
The sleepy seaside capital of Victoria, B.C. placed first in every category, while an increase in Calgarians purchasing romantic products caused it to skyrocket through the rankings.
