A man that was caught on video shouting racial slurs and verbally attacking a taxi driver in Calgary has lost his job and is at the centre of online public shaming, reports The Calgary Hearld.

The man can be heard on the video calling the driver, Sardar Qayyum, a terrorist and told him to “go back to where he came from.”

The abuser was identified as an employee of Acro Electric, which is based in Calgary, and is an oil and gas industry contractor.

He was reportedly on his way home from a company party when he asked Qayyum to stop for food. After he said no because the man’s chit was about to expire, the tirade started.

You son-of-a-bitch; you f—ing (expletive), go back to where you came from; take your wife and four kids,” the man says in the curse-filled video.

In a statement issued on their website, Acro Electric denounced the racist remarks.

“We do not condone such behaviour and we believe in accountability. All people need to be treated with respect and dignity. This incident is not a representation of Alcro Electric. Effective immediately the employee involved is no longer with Alcro Electric,” they said in the statement.
