Calgary's LGBTQ community now has a safe space to worship

Dec 19 2017, 10:58 am

Thanks to a Calgary program called Young Queer Church (YQC), members of the LGBTQ community now have a safe space to worship, where their identity and faith can be reconciled.

Peace Anhorn is the YQC program director and he is backed by many other YQC members who are also contributing to the program.

Meetings are held at the Parkdale United Church on the first Sunday evening of every month at 7 p.m. The next YQC Worship Experience is on Sunday, February 7.

Each service is aimed at providing a relevant worship experience allowing individuals to feel moved and inspired.

Online the group posts that their message is simple and that everyone is divinely created and loved, no matter who you are.
