Calgary Humane Society opens online adoption applications

The Calgary Humane Society has closed its doors to the public in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic but is now offering a new way for animals to find a forever home.

As of March 23, CHS is processing adoption applications made online.

Potential pet parents are asked to, print, fill out, then scan or snap a pic of their online application and email it to the CHS. Applications are being accepted through email only, as their employees will be reviewing and calling applicants to do a standard adoption interview within 24 hours.

Afterwards, approved adopters will be called in by appointment to meet their animal. This is taking place until March 25, as they are trying to clear the shelter to good homes quickly. Any other applicants will be contacted after the initial push by phone.
