Calgary, it’s almost time to get your festive on! Spruce Meadows’ International Christmas Market is returning, and ATCO Energy is kicking things off with a giant Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Friday, Nov. 13, at 4 p.m.

For the third year in a row, ATCO Energy will help get the season underway with a festive celebration featuring a DJ spinning Christmas tunes, giveaways, and holiday characters.

It’s the perfect excuse to grab a hot drink, soak up the Christmas magic, and get a head start on your holiday shopping.

The fun doesn’t stop at the tree lighting, either.

ATCO Energy’s Santa’s Cozy Corner will be back in the Upper Plaza, where visitors can snap a holiday photo with Santa for a minimum $10 donation to Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta. It’s a sweet way to get a festive family photo while supporting a good cause.

Santa will be available for photos on Fridays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the market.

ATCO Energy

This year marks five years of ATCO Energy partnering with Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta, contributing more than $250,000 in financial and in-kind support to help local families access safe, affordable housing.

Santa’s Cozy Corner has also raised nearly $48,000 for the organization over the past three years, with fundraising more than doubling year over year.

So, be sure to stop by Spruce Meadows on November 13 and join ATCO Energy as it helps Calgary kick off the most wonderful time of the year.
