
Calgary will be saying goodbye to the chilly temperatures soon, and the warmup on the way for the city keeps looking better and better.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), Calgary is set to experience a temperature change of 36 Celsius degrees as we get through the current cold snap and start the upcoming work week.
Just yesterday the temperature roller coaster was an increase of 31 Celsius degrees, so we’ll take that growth!
The city will see a chance of flurries today and a mix of sun and cloud tomorrow, along with a steady hold in daytime highs, with a high of -13ºC in the forecast for today and -9°C on Friday.
The overnight lows are where it gets really cold, ranging between -15°C and -20°C from tonight to Saturday.
Monday things sure start to turn around for us, with a daytime high of 8ºC and sunny.
The temperatures sure take a massive jump as we roll through the upcoming workweek, with Tuesday eyeing up a dazzling daytime high of 16ºC and staying above the freezing mark overnight. Tuesday is looking good as well, with a high of 11ºC.
Another nice thing to see in the forecast over the coming days — no mention of snow on the way!
When you do the math between the overnight low on Friday and the daytime high on Tuesday, that’s a difference of 36 Celsius degrees over just a few days.

According to ECCC, the normal temperatures for Calgary at this time of year are a high of zero and a low of -12ºC.
