Connor Zary has left tonight’s Calgary Flames game in Anaheim with what looks to be a serious knee injury.
The 23-year-old Flames forward was writhing in pain on the ice after a knee-on-knee hit from Ducks defenceman Drew Helleson. Hellseon was given a five-minute major penalty and a game misconduct.
Needless to say, Flames fans on social media are calling for a lengthy suspension.

Zary was travelling at high speed with the puck midway through the second period when the kneeing penalty occurred. The injury threatens to spoil what has been a terrific sophomore season for the Saskatoon native, who has 22 points (10-12-22) in 39 games with Calgary this season.
