How the Calgary Flames players spent their summer vacation

Dec 19 2017, 2:36 am

After surprising the NHL last year, the Calgary Flames are back in town working things out for another year. With a core of young, rising superstars, and solid vets backing them up, the Flames are ready to make some noise showing last year wasn’t a fluke.

But before we get too excited about the season ahead, let’s look back through the social streams of the boys and build a “How I Spent My Summer Vacation” assignment for the team.

At the Calgary Stampede, Josh Jooris, Sean Monahan, and Johnny Gaudreau hung with Miss America and the crowds.

You know the hockey boys love their golf, and Sean Monahan was a regular on the links and charity circuit this summer.

And was a special guest of the Philadelphia Eagles during their training camp.

Sam Bennett got the royal treatment checking out the Labour Day Classic.

And turned 19.

You’re still a teenager, Sam. How about some pull-ups?

Josh Jooris got a workout in with Gio, maybe he can show Sam how they’re done?

Thanks @jkeatz33 for a great summer of training #heinekens

Jooris also went on a little vacay with his family to Disney.

While Mikael Backlund‘s vacation took him through Europe.

David Jones was busy changing diapers in his growing family

Burkie, Gio, and other Calgary Flames players were leading the Calgary Pride Parade down 9th Ave.

What do you think? Is there another parade in the Calgary Flames players’ not too distant future? The 2015-16 season starts on October 7 when the Vancouver Canucks come to town.
