Going into the NHL Draft Lottery, the Flames were sitting with odds to win the 5th spot, and after tonight’s draw, they dropped one spot to select 6th in this year’s NHL Entry Draft.

While the top three picks are a given – Auston Matthews, Patrick Laine, and Jesse Puljujarvi (though there is some debate on the order) – choosing sixth puts them in an interesting position.

Stay tuned for analysis to come on who the Flames could select.
