The Calgary Flames chose to get extra creative in their 2025-26 schedule release on Wednesday morning.

All 32 teams revealed their schedules for the upcoming regular season, which is set to get underway in October. While some teams went more generic with the release, others chose to have some fun with it, and the Flames certainly fell into the latter category.

They opted to release a lengthy video with none other than fan favourite Ryan Lomberg. The two-minute video features a shirtless Lomberg walking around, taking out several teams that the Flames will play this coming season.

“They sent him on a mission and set him up to fail. But they made one mistake,” the Flames captioned the post. “They forgot they were dealing with LOMBO.”

To absolutely no surprise, Flames fans were absolutely loving this very unexpected but hilarious skit.

“This is absolutely brilliant,” one user commented. “I can hardly wait for the new season to start!”

That individual was far from the only one to express their approval.

As for the schedule itself, the Flames will need to be ready from the jump, as things start out quite difficult for them. Five of their first nine games of the season will come against legitimate Stanley Cup contenders: the Edmonton Oilers, Vegas Golden Knights (x2), and the Winnipeg Jets (x2).

The Flames’ first game of the regular season will be at Rogers Place versus the Edmonton Oilers on Oct. 8, while their home opener will come on Oct. 11 versus the St. Louis Blues at 2 p.m. They will also have two home games versus the Oilers coming on Dec. 27 and Feb. 4.

The entire 2025-26 schedule can be found online.
