The game was scheduled to be played at 8:30 pm MT. It would have marked the second half of a back-to-back set for the Flames, who defeated the Anaheim Ducks last night by a 3-2 overtime final.

The Kings, meanwhile, would have been well rested, having last played on Saturday night versus the Tampa Bay Lightning, a game which they won by a 2-1 final. They’ve impressed through the first half of the season, sitting third in the Pacific Division with a 23-10-5 record.
The Flames, based on expectations entering the season, haven’t been all too shabby, either. They own a 19-14-7 record through 40 games. Their 45 points are tied with the Vancouver Canucks, who currently occupy the final wild-card position in the Western Conference.
Had tonight’s game been played, it was presumed that Dan Vladar will get the start after Dustin Wolf was between the pipes last night. Vladar’s last start came on Saturday night, where he allowed four goals on 25 shots in a 5-3 loss to the Utah Hockey Club. Through 19 games this season, he owns a 3.08 GAA along with a .888 SV% and a 6-8-5 record.
A decision on when a makeup game between these two clubs will take place has yet to be announced.
While we would all would have liked to see a game tonight between the Flames and Kings, the ongoing situation in LA is a harsh reminder that there are far more serious things in life. Our thoughts go out to all the individuals who are being impacted by these devastating wildfires.
