There’s a new market coming to town.

The Calgary Farmers’ Market has announced its plans to open a second location in Northwest Calgary, just across from WinSport’s Canada Olympic Park.

The new market is expected to span a total of 50,000-sq-ft once completed, include over 75 vendors to shop from, and feature a private event place, an outdoor mezzanine, and a kids’ play area among other amenities.

“This new location has been a dream in the making for many years and we’re so excited to share the news with Calgarians,” said Rod Bradshaw, CFM’s Board President, on the market’s website.

“We will be the first world-class market to have a second location and we’re ecstatic about bringing our vendors’ incredible products to a new area of Calgary.”

The vendors at the new market will include favourites from the existing market as well as new produce, goods, and gift vendors to check out.

It is an estimated 15-minute drive from downtown to get to the neighbourhood of Greenwich where Calgary Farmers’ Market West will reside, and the new market is expected to be up and running by Spring 2020.
