Celebrate all things latin at Calgary's Expo Latino 2016

Aug 3 2016, 3:20 am

The Hispanic Arts Society is bringing the flavours of Latin America back to Calgary for another year at Expo Latino.

Expo Latino is Western Canada’s largest outdoor Latin festival and is celebrating 20 years of promoting cultural exchange through dance and music.

The festival kicks off on Friday with “Salsa Fever,” an evening dance and music showcase that’ll have you moving your body like never before.

Two more days of dance and music follow Friday’s kick-off. Expect to hear tunes from Juno-award winning band The Oscar Lopez Ensemble and dancing from Natalie Castro and Urban Bachata Dancers.

For Friday only, entry will be free with a food bank donation.

The opening ceremonies take place tomorrow at the Eau Claire Market Mall, and will feature performances by Wil Campa y Su Gran Union and Natalie Castro.
