Sounds of the Season with Calgary Philharmonic

What: Calgary Philharmonic gets festive with a series of Sounds of the Season concerts. Enjoy a selection of sacred and secular holiday favourites with friends and family.

When: December 3, 18, and 19

Winter ice skating at Olympic Plaza

What: Built in 1988 for the Olympic Winter Games, Olympic Plaza has the only refrigerated outdoor ice surface in the city. You can rent skates down at the plaza if you don’t have a pair of your own. Helmets are strongly encouraged.

When: Open daily until mid-March
Time: 10 am to 9 pm

Evening Birds

What: Canadian singer songwriter Kendall Rodney Bilan performs his alternative folk project Evening Birds at Ironwood Stage & Grill on December 3.

The Christmas Star: An Astronomer’s Perspective
