Paul Brandt

What: Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame inductee Paul Brandt performs three shows alongside Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra this holiday season. Enjoy a mix of Brandt’s big hits with Christmas favourites. And $10 from every ticket sold will be going directly to Not In My City, an anti-sexual exploitation and trafficking initiative created by Brandt’s own Buckspring Foundation.

Jewish Book Festival Book Sale

What: Calgary JCC and Shelf Life Books host the Jewish Book Festival book sale, a curated selection of contemporary books by Jewish and Israeli authors, titles on Jewish thought, politics, humour, travel, history, and more. Attendees are also welcome to take part in the Sifriya Library – Hebrew Book Exchange.

Dinner & A Movie at Heritage Park – Die Hard

What: Heritage Park presents Dinner & A Movie Nights at the Selkirk Grille and the Gasoline Alley Museum. Enjoy a three-course movie-themed dinner at Selkirk Grille, then head to Gasoline Alley Museum for a big screen classic. Attendees are also welcome to only watch the movie, and a cash bar and popcorn will be available for purchase during the screening.

Print(ed) Word Salon Series

What: Print(ed) Word is a collection of 12 handmade artist books now on permanent display at Calgary’s Central Library. Each month, a different team of authors and artists present a talk on their process of collaboration.

CP Holiday Train – Okotoks, Blackie, Vulcan, Lethbridge

What: The 21st edition of the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will travel across Canada this holiday season and will be making its annual stops in Alberta this December. Bring non-perishable donations to support your local food bank, and enjoy live performances by Terri Clark and Dallas Smith.
