Esker Foundation

What: Esker Foundation connects the public to contemporary art through relevant, accessible, and educational exhibitions, programs, and publications. The gallery reflects on current developments in local, regional, and international culture; creates opportunities for public dialogue; and supports the production of groundbreaking new work, ideas, and research. Admission is free. Pride and Prejudice Summer Ball

What: Jump into the world of Jane Austin, with ball gowns, dancing, live music, and more, set in the Alberta Ballroom of the historic Palliser Hotel.  You don’t need to come with a dance partner, as this is an English Country Dance. Plus, you never know who you might meet there!

Cannonball! A Youth Festival of Theatre

What: Calling all youth, this is your time to shine, and watch your peers shine too! With a theatrical season made up of four productions, the Calgary Youth People’s Theatre (CYPT) allows youth between the ages of 9 to 17 to audition and experience the creative theatre process and production.

Alberta University of the Arts

What: The annual Grad Show features the work of graduates from AUArts’ Ceramics, Drawing, Fibre, Glass, Jewellery & Metals, Media Arts, Painting, Photography Print Media, Sculpture and Visual Communications Design programs. This year, the IKG presents work in the gallery and throughout the university by nearly 200 graduating students, including the recipients of the Board of Governors Awards.

Workshop Theatre Presents The Lady in the Van

What: The true story of Miss Shepherd, an eccentric woman of uncertain origins, who “temporarily” parked her broken-down van in writer Alan Bennett’s London driveway, and proceeded to live there for the next 15 years. Directed by Jacquie Brennan and Tammy Dalrymple-White.

Superhero Day at the Library

What: On June 1, five libraries will be transformed into Superhero Headquarters. Head to Crowfoot, Country Hills, Central, Quarry Park, and Village Square libraries to make your own comic book, meet your favourite superheroes, test your superhero skills with feats of strength and smarts, and more — all for free. Family-friendly costumes are encouraged.

Wildlife Baby Shower

What: It’s baby season at the Calgary Wildlife Rehabilitation Society. Every year CWRS receives hundreds of orphaned infant wild animals from March to August. Join them at Bow Habitat Station for their second annual wildlife baby shower. They are hoping to build a mountain of supplies and donations to help provide the best care possible to the baby patients. WILD activities are included with $5 (+tax) admission to Bow Habitat Station’s Discovery Centr

The Panel One Comic Creator Festival

Ghost Opera

Meet the Baby ‘Roos at Cobb’s Adventure Park 2019

What: Cobb’s Adventure Park in Calgary is giving visitors the chance to be the first to meet, pet, and hold their adorable brand new baby kangaroos and wallabies. The park offers a wide variety of rides, games, and activities for all ages with a kangaroo petting zoo, climbing wall, bouncy houses, pedal carts, tractor rides, giant slides, archery tag, and much more. You can even book a kangaroo visit for your birthday party, classroom, or office during their offseason. For $250/hour they bring two baby joeys and three sugar gliders to your birthday party, classroom, or office.
