Ocean Wise Chowder Chowdown

  • What: Celebrate sustainable seafood as a selection of Calgary’s top chefs compete against one another for the title of 2015 Ocean Wise Chowder Chowdown Champion.

Seven Lions at Marquee

  • What: Listen and dance to Seven Lions, innovative, versatile and sought-after producers in dance music, with guests TKO – Unoriginated.
  • Where: Marquee Beer Market & Stage – 4630 Macleod Trail South, Calgary
  • When: Tuesday, November 10 from 9 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.

Remembrance Day Ceremonies

  • What: Remembrance Day is a time for reflection on our freedoms, honouring those who fought for them, and appreciating the future we have because of them.

Russell Peters Almost Famous World Tour

  • What: Comedian Russell Peters will be returning to Calgary. His show will feature his latest take on some of his favorite communities, jobs he can understand, cell phones, dating and his uncle who’s never been punched in the mouth.
  • Where: Grey Eagle Casino – 3777 Grey Eagle Drive, Calgary
  • When: Wednesday, November 11 at 8 p.m.

Fort Calgary artisan Fair 

  • What: Every year just before the holiday season fully takes hold, Fort Calgary hosts a fine collection of locally-made, one-of-a-kind products created by local crafters and artists, and this year is no exception.
  • Where: Fort Calgary – 750 9th Avenue SE
  • When: Wednesday, November 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Cost: Free admission with a donation of a non-perishable food item to the Veteran’s Food Bank

Calgary European Film Festival

  • What: 12 European countries have joined the CEFF to bring you high quality movies from the Old Continent.

  • When: Thursday, November 12 to 15
  • Cost: $12 per movie; $115 for a full pass; $60 for a half pass (any 6 movies)

Adults Only Night: Games We Play

  • What: Learn about why we get so involved in games? What they teach us, if anything? And more.

Dinner for Doors

  • What: Feel what it is like to have limited mobility or reduced vision for just a few hours at this special dining event which aims to raise awareness of accessibility challenges.
  • Where: Executive Royal Hotel – 2828 23 Street NE, Calgary
  • When: Thursday, November 12 from 5 to 8:30 p.m.
  • Cost: $100; $650 for a table of seven

Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra’s Rush Hour – Arabian Nights: Scheherazade

  • What: According to the story, Scheherazade told clever tales for 1,000 nights in order to overcome a vengeful king who vowed to execute his wives. However, thanks to CPO’s special Rush Hour performance, you’ll only have to wait 60 minutes to discover how this gripping tale ends.

ISU World Cup Speed Skating

  • What: Check out some of the world’s best speed skaters at the ISU World Cup.

Jordan Suckley with Yula, Mackwa and Sundown

  • What: A beat-dropping party that features DJ Jordon Suckley, a rising star, with guests Yula, Mackwa and Sundown.

Jubilations Dinner Theatre: Modern Family Vacation
