Dine Under The Stars — Soiree In The Valley

What: Soiree in the Valley, billed as a garden dinner pop up, is hosted by Dinner4Four Co. The event, which runs for 30 days at a time, promises an elegant four-course menu offered with wine, all while you’re being served in all-weather Garden Domes. The Calgary pop-up will be located at the Native Gardens in Fish Creek Park, with dinner provided by Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant and Great Events Catering.

Art Battle Calgary 

What: Art Battle is a live competitive painting. Painters create the best work they can in 20 minutes. As they work, patrons move around the easels, closely watching the creative process. The medium is acrylic paint and the tools allowed are brushes, palette knives or any non-mechanical implements. At the end of the round, the audience votes democratically for their favourite painting and bids in a silent auction to take the work home.

What: Calgarians take the stage and tell stories of miscommunication in a dynamic competition to find the master storyteller. Stories are (mostly) true, first-person narratives about things that have happened and are five minutes long.

Meet the Baby ‘Roos at Cobb’s Adventure Park 2019

What: Cobb’s Adventure Park in Calgary is giving visitors the chance to be the first to meet, pet, and hold their adorable brand new baby kangaroos and wallabies. The park offers a wide variety of rides, games, and activities for all ages with a kangaroo petting zoo, climbing wall, bouncy houses, pedal carts, tractor rides, giant slides, archery tag, and much more. You can even book a kangaroo visit for your birthday party, classroom, or office during their offseason. For $250/hour they bring two baby joeys and three sugar gliders to your birthday party, classroom, or office.

What: Rodney Oyster House’s Annual Maritime Lobster Boil with Alexander Keith’s. A small snack and samples of the type of beer that you are brewing will be provided at the event.
