The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and Calgary has nothing but sunny skies in store for the rest of the week…. but does that really mean that we’re done with the wintery weather for good?
Look, we understand if you’re a little bit skeptical when it comes to warm weather in Calgary – especially around these unpredictably snowy months – but we can finally, safely say that all signs point to spring.
The Weather Network’s 14-day, long-term forecast shows hardly more than a few nights dipping below freezing, and, for the most part, day-time temperatures appear to be hovering around 12°C.
If that forecast is correct, then the warm weather will see us straight into May, when the likelihood of an impromptu snowstorm lessens dramatically.
To be fair, Calgary weather is, quite literally, an unpredictable force of nature, but we believe that the worst of winter is finally in the rear-view mirror.
The same sentiment is held by others in the city, with Calgarians waking up to a bright, beautiful day, and a sliver of optimism for the future sunshine to come.
