Calgary's Country Thunder music festival moves to new dates for 2026
One of the most anticipated music festivals in Calgary is shaking things up for its 10th anniversary, as Country Thunder has announced it will be moving its dates up a little earlier than in previous years.
In a statement on its website, the renowned country music festival said that, in light of the festival’s 10th anniversary in YYC, the event will be moving from August to the end of June.
The festival added that the move will allow concertgoers “longer days, beautiful weather, and the perfect kickoff to summer,” along with an early chance to see top country acts.

It also acknowledged that the change in the festival dates may impact some people’s ability to attend, and if you’re unable to make it to the new 2026 festival weekend of June 26 to 28, Country Thunder is now offering a two-week window to submit a refund request.
To cancel your order and receive a full refund, ticketholders are asked to submit a refund request form by Monday, Nov. 24, 2025. The festival added that it will be unable to process any refund requests for admission once this window closes.
