Calgary's top diversity employers revealed and they're hiring

Diversity is one of Canada’s biggest strengths, and many employers in Calgary are putting in extra effort to ensure their employees come from a wide spectrum of human experiences.

Mediacorp Canada Inc., the team behind Canada’s Top 100 Employers project, has announced the country’s best diversity employers in 2025. Five Calgary employers made the 18th edition of the annual list.

Winning employers have improved their programs and initiatives to ensure they understand the challenges of a diverse staff while continuing to hire without bias during recruitment.

If you’re planning on job hunting in 2025, these best diversity employers in Calgary may be a good place to start.

Dentons Canada LLP

A powerhouse in the law firm industry, Dentons Canada LLP, which employs nearly 1,400 full-time workers, made the list thanks to its managing of a 12-month global women’s sponsorship program to help women advance into senior leadership roles.

Enbridge Inc.

Nestled in the energy infrastructure industry, Enbridge Inc., which employs nearly 7,800 full-time workers, made the list thanks to its practice of conducting annual pay equity analyses to help ensure fair pay across gender and ethnicity.

Gibson Energy Inc.

A key player in the oil and gas distribution industry, Gibson Energy Inc., which employs nearly 500 full-time workers, landed on the list for actions like launching an Indigenous Peoples policy to integrate Indigenous perspectives and Truth and Reconciliation principles into the organization’s culture and operations.

Lafarge Canada Inc.

Making a name for itself in the concrete manufacturing industry, Lafarge Canada Inc., which employs more than 7,300 full-time workers, made the cut with the report pointing out its maintaining of a formal policy to accommodate employees who wish to observe religious holidays outside of statutory holidays.

Last but not least was the University of Calgary, which employs more than 6,200 full-time workers and stood out thanks to it offering equity, diversity, and inclusion awards to recognize students, staff, and faculty who have demonstrated a commitment to inclusion and equity on campus.
