If driving around the city looking for the biggest and brightest Christmas lights is part of your holiday traditions, an official Calgary Christmas light map has just come out.

Lighten Up Calgary has officially released its 2025 Christmas light map, showing Calgarians where to go on their hunt for Christmas light displays. It’s a fun, free outing that’s perfect for the entire family.

To make things simpler for families, we have listed out those amazing Christmas light displays, sorted by communities. So, take your kids out, see bright, sparkling lights, listen to Holiday music and donate to worthy causes while enjoying family time. And the best part is, it’s all free of charge and family-friendly,” the website says.

When you click on a display, you can find the location and hours of operation. So far, there are only a few places on the map, but they are dazzling.

Frosty and Friends Light Up Christmas is located in the northeast and features an 18-foot Frosty the Snowman, a 16-foot Peanuts Christmas train, a homemade 22-foot light archway, and a skating rink.

This display in the southwest, called “I Love Christmas,” spans over three yards and features tons of blow-up Christmas decorations and lights.

The website organizes submissions by communities so you can find the displays closest to you. People from all over the city can submit their homes to the site, and after it’s approved, their displays show up on the map.

Lighten Up Calgary accepts food bank donations, and in 2024, they raised about 265 pounds of food and supported over 36,000 children and their families.

So if you’re looking to get out and have some festive fun this year, you can find Lighten Up Calgary’s Christmas light map online.
