No C-Train service through downtown for May long weekend

The City of Calgary announced a disruption in C-Train service over the long weekend for commuters.

From May 20 to 22, trains will not be running through the downtown core but instead shuttle service will be available.

For the Red Line the following changes will be in effect:

  • No CTrain service between Sunnyside and Victoria Park/Stampede stations. Red Line shuttle buses will connect you to all stations in between. View Red Line shuttle bus map.
  • Catch the Red Line shuttle along 9 Avenue if you’re heading toward Somerset-Bridlewood.
  • Catch the Red Line shuttle along 6 Avenue if you’re heading toward Tuscany.
  • CTrains will run normally between Tuscany and Sunnyside, and between Somerset and Victoria Park/Stampede.

For the Blue Line the following changes will be in effect:

  • No CTrain service between Downtown West/Kerby and Bridgeland/Memorial stations. Blue Line shuttle buses will connect you to all stations in between. View Blue Line shuttle bus map.
  • Catch the Blue Line shuttle along 6 Avenue if you’re heading toward 69 Street.
  • Catch the Blue Line shuttle along 9 Avenue if you’re heading toward Saddletowne.
  • CTrains will run normally between 69 Street and Downtown West/Kerby, and between Saddletowne and Bridgeland/Memorial.
