Village ice cream’s hard ice cream is hand crafted in the store and uses local, seasonal and, where ever possible, organic ingredients. They have 12 flavors that are always readily available to eat as well as others that vary through out the year. The Village needs its very own villagers to visit and taste their unique ice cream flavors.

Come to Mackay’s and enjoy a cool treat by a quiet western street. This ice cream is made in the Mackay’s factory in Cochrane and is also sold in Calgary at certain locations. My suggestion for experiencing their ice cream is to make a day trip to the Cochrane location. A single ice cream cone is $3.95 and for the kiddie cone it’s $2.75. There are plenty of flavors to choose from, Maple Walnut, Vanilla, and Chocolate Chip Mint to name a few of the top 10 choices.

Leavitt’s ice Cream Shop (Lics), established in 1982, is known for serving de”lics”ious hard scope ice cream. Their flavors of ice cream include pistachio, cookies ‘n’ cream, chocolate, raspberry and many others. They have a selection of sugar-free and lactose-free ice cream so that there is a little something for everyone.

Marble Slab (was going to add this but decided not to because its not that local. What do you think?)
Angel’s is a little oasis by the river and nestled in Edworthy park. They have delightful ice cream in select classic flavors. If you come on certain days you will be able to listen to live music and have your ice cream outside the restaurant.
