I took this self portrait with the Milky Way during a full moon. Usually under a full moon the Milky Way is washed out by the moonlight. Can anyone guess how I was able to get this shot? I had to chase clear skies quite a ways from Calgary on this night and didn’t end up with a good foreground in time (I can’t tell you why because it will give away the answer to my question). This was me just fooling around and trying to get something lined up with the Milky Way. The pose that worked the best looked like I was trying to overhead press the galaxy.
