I've always gotten a little carried away when packing for camping. In Ontario the car would be packed to the roof for 2 days of camping. Given that I'm hauling my camp gear on my back up mountains out here you'd think I'd be a little smarter about what I pack, but you'd be wrong. Basing my weight approximation on a two-four of beer weighing 36lbs, I estimate that my pack for my last camp trip weighed in the neighbourhood of 65-75lbs…..for one night. I happily carried that bastard up a mountain filled with all sorts of goodies, including all the necessary ingredients for delicious Caesars.
