McDonald’s Canada has announced that an employee at a Balzac restaurant has tested positive for COVID-19.

On August 6, a staff member working at the McDonald’s located at 293097 Crossiron Lane reported they had tested positive for the coronavirus.

The employee’s last shift was reportedly on July 24 from noon to 7 pm.

This location has now been shut down for thorough cleaning and sanitation. The restaurant will re-open once further direction has been given by Alberta Health Services.

All staff members who may have been in close contact with the employee have been asked to self-quarantine until further information is available.

McDonald’s Canada is asking for any guests who may have visited the restaurant on July 24 to take directions from the experts at Alberta Health Services.
