Donate winter clothing and enter to win the Ultimate Grey Cup Festival Experience from ATCO Energy

Winter is fast approaching, and Calgarians know that you do not want to be without proper gear when the temperature plummets into the negatives.

Maybe last year’s winter coat no longer fits properly, or you’ve upgraded your boots and don’t need that second pair. Rather than letting these items sit and gather dust, you can give them to a good cause.

ATCO Energy is partnering with WINS to collect gently used winter clothing and gear for Calgary individuals and families in need. The Warm Up Calgary campaign invites you to donate, and in the process, you could win one of three Ultimate Grey Cup Festival Experience Prize Packs for two.

What and where to donate

Whatever gently used winter gear you have, WINS needs. More specifically, WINS is seeking winter items for all ages and family members, including jackets, snow pants, winter boots, toques, scarves, gloves, and mittens for men, women, and children.

There are three Warm Up Calgary donation drop-off locations, each with its own set of hours. You can bring your donations to the ATCO Park North Entrance on Oct. 15 and 16 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., CF Chinook Centre South Court (near Indigo) on Oct. 16 and 17 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Oct. 18 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and the Calgary Stampeders East Fan Zone at McMahon Stadium on Oct. 17 from 3 to 5 p.m.

ATCO Energy and WINS share a longstanding relationship rooted in community and connection. ATCO Energy is the Official Energy Provider for WINS, powering all seven of its retail locations and donation centre, and has supported the organization through employee-led fundraisers, donation drives, volunteering, and seasonal initiatives like this one.

Everyone who donates will be entered to win one of three Ultimate Grey Cup Festival Experience Prize Packs for Two, which include access to multiple festival events.

Excitement is buzzing as Calgary prepares to host the big game for its 2026 iteration. ATCO Energy is a partner of the 2026 Grey Cup Festival and will host an ATCO Energy Warming Zone located in Lot 3 of Stampede Park from Nov. 11 to 14.

You can expect firepits, comfortable seating, games and activities, and special guest appearances. It’s the perfect place to warm up, connect with fellow festival-goers, and take in all things Grey Cup Festival while enjoying the outdoor festivities.

Plus, head inside to the Family Festival Zone and visit ATCO Energy to get a custom photo booth keepsake and exclusive energy offers.
