How ATCO Energy is bringing extra warmth to the Grey Cup Festival in Calgary

The biggest football event in Canada is coming to Calgary this year, and you don’t have to get tickets to the game to enjoy some Grey Cup festivities.

The Grey Cup Festival is taking place at the Stampede Park Outdoor Festival Grounds from Nov. 11 to 14, and ATCO Energy is bringing a little extra warmth to the celebrations.

As a proud partner of the 2026 Grey Cup Festival, ATCO Energy is hosting the outdoor Warming Zone in Lot 3, where guests can escape the November chill by gathering around firepits, enjoying interactive games and activities, and connecting with fellow football lovers.

Fireside Chats

ATCO Energy

Alberta isn’t exactly warm in November, which is why we’ve mastered the art of the bonfire. Warm your hands and soul at the fire pits, where select times will host Fireside Chats.

These chats are a series of casual, campfire-style conversations hosted by local country artist Michela Sheedy. She’ll speak with special guests from Calgary’s football and community scene to share memorable moments, personal stories, and unique perspectives.

Visitors can also enjoy Fireside Chats with special guests from the football community sharing stories, Grey Cup memories, and experiences from their lives both on and off the field.

Eyes on the sky

The Warming Zone is in the prime location for watching the Grey Cup Festival’s nightly drone shows that are happening Thursday, Nov. 12, through Saturday, Nov. 14, at 8:45 p.m.

Each night will see the sky illuminated with an array of captivating images telling the story of the Grey Cup Festival. With each night covering a different story, you can come to all three nights and experience something unique.

ATCO Energy will also have a presence inside the festival’s indoor Family Zone, where you can enjoy an interactive photo booth, take home a keepsake, and connect with the fine folks at ATCO Energy. All in all, it’s sure to be fun for everyone!

Get in on the football festivities by visiting the Grey Cup Festival, and be sure to swing by the Warming Zone while you’re at it.
