UPDATED: Amber alert issued after 14-year-old girl abducted in Edmonton

UPDATE: The girl has been found safe and the emergency alert has ended, according to an update from the Edmonton Police. 

The Edmonton Police Service issued an Amber Alert at 4:16 pm today after a young girl was forcibly abducted by a 40-year-old male.

The 14-year-old girl was last seen in the area of 84th Street near 105th Avenue today at 3 pm.

The EPS alert states that she is of mixed black and white race, 5′ tall, and has short black hair with blonde mixed in.

She was wearing a pink hoodie and light coloured jeans.

The alert also states that she was taken by Jacques Sennesael, a white, balding male with facial stubble and a tattoo on his shoulder. He was wearing a red tank top and was last seen heading westbound on 106th Avenue in a red sedan.

Anyone who sees Sennesael is warned not to approach him as he may be armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on the situation is asked to contact the Edmonton Police Service by calling 911 or 780-423-4567.
