
It’s not summer in Alberta without a little thunder and lightning.
A severe thunderstorm rolled through southern Alberta on Sunday, bringing with it huge pieces of hail, electric skies, and even the terrifying potential for a tornado.
Calgary, Brooks, Strathmore, and Vulcan all fell under a tornado warning from Environment Canada on Sunday night, though those warnings were (thankfully) switched to your run-of-the-mill severe thunderstorm warnings within the hour.

Still, even without a cyclone of wind forming in Alberta’s stormy skies, there was still much for the province’s storm-chaser to capture.
