Alberta hits grim milestone of 100,000 total COVID-19 infections
Another 1,287 people in Alberta tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, according to an update posted to the province’s website Wednesday.
This brings the province to 100,482 infections since the pandemic began. Of those, 14,555 are still considered active infections.
Another 18 people also died since Tuesday, bringing the province’s death toll to 1,046.

There are currently 921 Albertans in hospital with COVID-19, including 152 in intensive care.
So far 84,827 people are considered recovered from the virus.
