
Alberta officials have confirmed 82 new test-positive cases of coronavirus this Easter Sunday, which brings the total number of cases in the province to 1,651.
Authorities also disclosed four more deaths since the last report, bringing the total number of deaths to 44.

According to a situation update, 1,046 cases are in the Calgary zone of the province with 395 in the Edmonton zone.
There are 103 cases in the North zone, 72 cases in the Central zone and 31 cases in the South zone with four cases in zones that have yet to be confirmed.
Of the total cases, 44 people are currently in hospital, with 14 of them having been admitted to intensive care.
The Alberta government continues to encourage residents to use best practices to hinder the further spread of coronavirus through actions such as staying home, washing hands frequently, and watching for symptoms.
