Each year, Great Place to Work publishes a list of Canada’s Best Workplaces for Women. And today, the top 50 workplaces for 2019 were unveiled.
According to Great Places to Work, to be eligible for the list, “organizations must be Great Place to Work- Certified in the past year, have at least 15 female employees and a minimum 90% of employees agree their workplace is safe and people are treated fairly regardless of their gender.
They then determine the best based on female employee responses to the ‘Trust Index survey,’ female advancement within the organization, and formal programs that support women.
This announcement comes as Glassdoor revealed that Canadian women earn 84 cents to every $1 a man earns. Back in November, Statistics Canada said this pay gap was better with the Labour Force Survey showing women apparently earning 87 cents to every $1. In total compensation, there is an 18.2% gender pay gap in Canada.
We are so proud to release the 2019 edition of our long running list of Best Workplaces for Women. Congratulations to all the 50 winners who are contributing their best to make this world a better place FOR ALL!
