It’s finally Thursday! You’ve almost made it to the end of the week – so it’s time to reward yourself.

Here are 5 things to do in Calgary today, from partying at Sled to grabbing a bite at Bridgeland’s Farmers Market, theres something for everyone.

Sled Island 

Calgary’s annual Sled Island Festival is back this year, bringing a mix of 200 artists and bands to different venues around the city. From Peaches, to Kaytranada, this festival is filled with artists to suit all music lovers.

2016 Launch Market

Visit Bridgeland Riverside Farmers’ Market for their first market of the year! Enjoy eating at local vendor stations, dance to live music and shop until you drop. For the kiddos, there are free activities set up.

Wagonstage Children’s Theatre at the Calgary Zoo

Enjoy two 20 minute shows performed by Drama students from Wagonstage Children’s Theatre. Hippo Needs a Bath is performed in the green space between the Kitamba Café and the Rhino enclosure and The Dinosaur Club, No Babies Allowed! takes place in the Prehistoric Park Amphitheatre. Shows take place Wednesday through Sunday at 11:00 am and 1:30 pm

Blue on the Avenue Launch

Blues-based singer, songwriter and multi – instrumentalist musician Tim Williams will be playing on the Stephen Avenue Summer stage. Catch a free show after work on 8th avenue S just east of Centre Street.

A Night at the Banff Mountain Film Festival

Every Thursday night in downtown Banff for 14 weeks, two identical shows per night will be shown featuring four unique film programs rotating each week.
