Library on the Ave

Browse materials, sit and read or even check out a book as the Calgary Public Library visits the Stephen Avenue Summer Stage.

Joe Jackson

English musician and singer-songwriter Joe Jackson comes to Calgary on his Fast Forward tour. Over his long career, Jackson has recorded 19 studios albums and been nominated for five Grammy Awards. After gaining overnight success with his single, “Is She Really Going Out With Him?” in 1979, Jackson has become a legendary musical icon, and his tour represents a next step in his astounding legacy.

Made with Love – Cocktail competition

The annual event that allows you to discover what your city’s craft-cocktail scene has to offer. 16 of Calgary’s most talented BarChefs will present a unique and original cocktail & food-pairing creations in view of being crowned Calgary’s BEST BarChef for 2016.

Ernie Paniccioli Hip Hop Photographer from NYC

Selling Classic Hip Hop Photos (Eg: 11x 14 prints for $35), sharing knowledge and intimate, real stories about the birth of Hip Hop; where it is now and where it’s going. A day to celebrate some of the key elements of Hip Hop culture. Cyperwild YEG will be bringing the turntables, b-boys and b-girls and the MCs. Free for youth, starving students and artists. Donations at the door are appreciated.

Kids Fishing Club – Session 1

Enroll your children in the Kids Fishing Club and get them to try out the sport of fishing. This program is open to all youth ages 6 through 12 years old and will educate youth on casting, knot tying, proper use of fishing equipment, fish biology, aquatic ecology, water cycle and quality, fisheries management and ethics, fishing opportunities in Alberta
