The Dîner en Blanc returned to Calgary on July 30, 2015 showing of its vicious style in white. Wearing white became the attire for the dashing event as it reflects the heat keeping one cool from the hot summer sun.
Every year thousands of elegant people arrive at a secret location by chartered buses or organized public transit.
Once the guests are properly seated, after a fast setting up of table and chairs accomplished by the accompanying table leader, they are instructed to put their napkins in the air. This gesture indicates, traditionally, of having occupied the public space.
After all of this is done guests are invited to enjoy a ravishing, finely prepared meal with their friends. Following the meal there are sparklers and dancing.
