YVR continues social media domination with airports-as-Pokémon tweets
The Vancouver International Airport has once again proven why their Twitter page ranks among the best.
While most airports are strict on maintaining a stern corporate image to the public, the social media gurus at YVR are never afraid to have some lighthearted fun.
They’ve even won an award for it too — last December, Twitter named @YVRAirport for creating the best banter in Canada in 2018.
The social media giant wrote that the airport “brings a new level of fun and self-awareness to #AirportTwitter, consistently interacting with flyers, other airports and other accounts from Vancouver and far beyond.”
Fast forward to 2019 and the YVR Airport continues to prove why they won that award — just check out their latest banter on airports as Pokémon.

It didn’t take long for other airports to join in on the fun.

But with several airports and a couple of schools down, one question does remain.
What Pokémon would the Vancouver International Airport be?

We see ourselves as at *least* an Araquanid. pic.twitter.com/WZH3kvdVZq

To be fair, given Vancouver’s unending rain, a water type pokemon seems only fitting.
