Has Raptors Nation invaded to Vancouver?

A source has told Vancity Buzz that BC Place is contemplating showing Toronto Raptors playoff games on their outdoor screen at Terry Fox Plaza, should they advance against the Indiana Pacers. Toronto leads their best-of-seven series against Indiana 3-2, with Game 6 taking place tonight.

If they win tonight, we may have ‘Jurassic Park West’.

The Raptors have been attempting to increase their footprint across Canada, as evidenced by their successful ‘We The North’ campaign, as well having preseason games in Vancouver, Ottawa, and Montreal this season.

Still, there’s likely a ways to go before the Raptors get to Blue Jays status in this city. Perhaps a long playoff run could begin to lay the groundwork for that?
