"Feed the Frontline" initiative is giving meals to Vancouver's healthcare workers

A new initiative is doing amazing things to feed Vancouver’s hardworking healthcare workers.

The Feed the Frontline program has already raised nearly $11,000, which is going towards feeding local healthcare and hospital workers.

The mission of this initiative is to support healthcare workers as well as the local restaurants who are making and delivering this food to them.

One hundred percent of the funds raised go towards purchasing food from local participating restaurants at a discounted rate, and then the meals go directly to healthcare workers.

For every $50 donated, Feed the Frontline produces ten meals.

Local spots that are already participating in this program include Pacific Poke, OEB, Biercraft, Mucho Burrito, Rocky Mountain Flatbread, Cafe Umbria, and Heritage Asian Eatery.

The program’s $75,000 goal will provide staff at Vancouver General Hospital and St. Paul’s Hospital two meals a day for the next four weeks.

If you’d like to help, head to the GoFunMe and donate.
