No arrests were made, but a “large quantity” of suspected cannabis, edibles, oils, pills, cash, and business records were seized by police officers, during a police raid in Chilliwack this week.

In a release, Chilliwack RCMP said the raid took place on Wednesday, when an officer “observed suspicious behaviour of individuals outside of a business in the 46000-block of Yale Road.”

Evidence was then gathered by the officer and reported to to the Chilliwack Crime Reduction Unit (CRU).

Later that evening CRU officers supported by the Prolific Offender Suppression Team (POST) and QRT executed a Controlled Drug and Substance Act (CDSA) search warrant at the address.

Now, RCMP investigators will be submitting all circumstances of the investigation in a report to Crown Counsel for their assessment of CDSA charges.

“An alert officer, timely investigation by CRU, and the coordinated effort of police resources were essential to preventing drugs from reaching the streets of our community,” said RCMP spokesperson, Cpl. Mike Rail.
