Chris Brown, Meek Mill, Cardi B among Drake's surprise guests at OVO Fest (PHOTOS)

The 6 was a 9 for Drake’s latest installment of OVO Fest, which took over Budweiser Stage on Sunday and Monday.

While the ninth annual festival began its two-show run on August 4, the big-ticket item was Monday’s star-studded event.

For those who have been to (or read about) OVO Fests in the past, Drake generally headlines, but brings out surprise guests throughout the night. And as the show began just before 9 pm, the screens dimmed and a highlight reel of the Toronto Raptors’ championship played. As the crowds cheered, the first surprise guest was revealed on stage with Drake.

It was the Raptors’ Larry O’Brien trophy.

Not only was the real thing on stage, but in the centre of the stage was a giant replica of the trophy. And it was there in the centre throughout the evening’s performances, which also included Drake in a Raptors (Percy Miller, #17) jersey.

His first guest was Lil Baby, who turned up the energy in the sold-out venue.

But the crowd’s list of surprises were just beginning.

And before more stars joined Drake on stage, he got old school with his own tracks, performing “Over” and “Headlines.”

Soon after, Toronto got to see Gucci Mane, and Meek Mill (yes, he made it across the border).

The first female performer of the night was Megan Thee Stallion, who played two tracks. Soon after, the next female performer was none-other-than Cardi B.

Cardi B’s hits “I like it” and “Bodak Yellow” had the crowd singing out loud before Offset joined her on stage for “Clout.”

Rick Ross also made an appearance on Monday night, but all eyes were on Drake’s last surprise guest Chris Brown (who also successfully crossed the border.)

“Thank you Canada for letting me in the country,” he later said on Instagram.

And Canada really enjoyed Brown’s short set, which included “Loyal” and “Freaky Friday.”

But let’s be real, the night was all about Drake, who did not disappoint. The Legend thanked his Toronto fans by allegedly shutting down Billy Bishop Airport for a (pretty long) fireworks display.

There was energy, a lot of energy, and no fake love here. Just nonstop, back to back hits. It was all God’s plan. (I had to).

If you didn’t make it out to the epic show, here’s a taste of what you missed.
