This massive ranch is located on the western side of Molokai, the fifth largest of the Hawaiian islands, and spans approximately 55,575 acres — or 35% of the entire island.
The endless landscape of Molokai Ranch is made up of towering sea cliffs, secluded beaches, prime pastureland and tropical rainforests. And I mean, what more do you really need in your backyard?
The ranch also includes residential neighbourhoods as well as commercial properties such as a golf course, a cattle business and two resorts that are currently closed — an oceanfront hotel and an upcountry lodge.
There’s more than 20 miles of coastline on the property and 14,000 acres of pristine reef habitat just offshore, said to be the most extensive coastal reef system in Hawaii, according to the listing.
Most of the property is unused and nearly 4,000 acres have been deeded as forested conservation lands.
If you are not a fan of crowded tropical beaches, this might be a good option.
And it doesn’t seem like privacy would ever really be an issue.
Oh, and if you have a private jet lying around, it’s only a 30 minute flight to Hawaii’s capital city, Honolulu, on Oahu.
Following the purchase, the new owner will land among the top five private landowners in the state.
For most of us, the price tag might put owning this slice of paradise out of the question, but we can dream, right?
