"We watched bats": US resident posts sweet Vancouver missed connection
It’s a place many of us have been in when you meet a great person, and you forget to ask for their number, as did a US resident who recently publicly posted about a Vancouver missed connection.
Reddit user mrRedMaze posted a touching missed connection on the Vancouver page, regretting not asking for someone’s number after having what sounded like a magical night.
“We watched bats fly from under the bridge for several hours and were having small talk,” the Redditor wrote.

The mystery girl from Vancouver was visiting Austin, Texas, and she stood next to mrRedMaze on Congress Avenue Bridge last month, a popular bat-watching spot.
“When it was time for you to leave, I got cold feet,” they wrote.
“If you see this, I would like to get in touch with you.
The post has received nearly 200 comments, and so far, mrRedMaze has received many suggestions on tracking this mystery person down, including calling local radio stations.
Someone even offered mrRedMaze some hope.
“I found my husband through a missed connection post on Reddit! I hope it goes as well for you as it does for us!”
In response, someone wrote, “Hoenstly kind of careless of you to misplace your husband like that.”
MrRedMaze had one final appeal to Vancouver Redditors.
“If someone has a friend who recently visited Austin, Texas, on September 29, please ask them or show them this post,” mrRedMaze pleads in his Reddit post.
Maybe the pair will find each other and meet at the Gastown Steam Clock, like Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan did at the Empire State Building.
